In a year marked by personal grief, I’ve found resonance in physical acts of sorting that mirror emotional processing. I’ve turned to the language of containers–boxing up excess, hiding away the unmanageable. These pieces reflect this impulse in collected boxes, bins, and baskets, along with the fragments they contain. They are relics of our secrets, habits, stories, and mistakes–the fossils of our time, living on in wholes or pieces.
