CURRENT WORK
Selected images from Periphery and Wait. Repeat.
"Trailing the edges to find the whole, finding the sum of parts: roadside boundaries, wayside grasses, traces of trash left behind. This work is an exploration of proximity and margins through noticing and collecting. My process is often grounded in walking, and this underlines the themes in my work. Across the installation space are a constellation of forms - sculptural pedestals, paintings on canvas, ceramic objects, words, and found items. Interspersed throughout are bits of plastic and trash, rocks, and pieces of broken things. By incorporating spatial awareness, object relationships create unexpected connection points. Curiosity rewards the looking as layers of depth are revealed, quietly asking what the edges can tell us."
